CLEARWATER, Fla. (Aug. 30, 2011) – Ambassador Limousine & Sedan, Inc. (ALS), the largest and most diverse ground transportation provider in West Central Florida, announced today its President and CEO Ken Lucci has joined the 2011 cast of Tampa Bay’s Dancing with the Stars presented by Hands Across the Bay. The local competition is patterned after the popular ABC television show where celebrity guests dance with elite instructors for top honors.
The final competition will be held on October 1st at the T. Pepin Hospitality Centre in Tampa. All proceeds benefit three local charities: Kids Charity of Tampa Bay, Pepin Academies and Hands Across the Bay.
"Ken has repeatedly gone above and beyond in his work with Hands Across the Bay,” says Founder, Julie Weintraub. “Ken has great energy and we are very excited see him on stage!"
Lucci, who traditionally rolls out the red carpet for his VIP guests and brides, says he is happy to push himself out of his comfort zone if it means helping others.
“Dancing is not my forte,” said Lucci. “But I am going to give it my best and put on a show for the audience. It’s all for a good cause.”
Lucci and Weintraub have partnered in the past with charitable causes including this May’s Wounded Warrior Wellness Day at the St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport.
